COURSE CONTENT
Introduction
This training will consider the risks and opportunities presented by AI for the insurance industry and all of those involved with the industry as policyholders, intermediaries, or advisers.
AI is now central to all aspects of the insurance business including risk assessment, underwriting, and claims.
The use of this new technologies raises new legal issues but it also creates new risks and a demand for new insurance products.
- The way in which AI is deployed in the insurance industry and possible future developments
- The legal challenges for policyholders, insurers and brokers raised by the increasing use of AI in the underwriting and claims process
- New questions of insurer liability arising from the use of AI in society at large
- How the use of AI is changing the nature of some established risks
- The changing legislative framework
TRAINING METHODOLOGY
The training methodology combines lectures, discussions, group exercises and illustrations. Participants will gain both theoretical and practical knowledge of the topics. The emphasis is on the practical application of the topics and as a result participant will go back to the workplace with both the ability and the confidence to apply the techniques learned to their duties.
